In 1907/1908, Friedrich Schmidt developed the well-known board game »Mensch Ärgere Dich Nicht« and five years later followed his games publishing company. This was taken over in 1997 by the Good Time Holding Group. Today, under the name Schmidt Spiele family and children’s games, puzzles, card games and soft toys are marketed in Germany and Europe.
As well as the classic »Mensch Ärgere Dich Nicht« other well-known brands such as »Kniffel« and »Ligretto« are marketed and sold. In the segment Children’s Games and Puzzles, as well as the group’s own characters »Benjamin the Elephant« and »Bibi Blocksberg«, other well-known themes such as »Sendung mit der Maus«, »Lars the little Polar Bear«, »Playmobil« and many others are used.
The well-known and multi award-winning games from the companies »Hans im Glück«, »Drei Magier Spiele« and »Adlung Spiele« are also in the product programme.
