The company was founded in 1992 under the name Karl Blatz Filmproduktion GmbH. When the company group was restructured in 2000, the name was changed to KIDDINX Filmproduction GmbH.
1997 marked the production of the highly successful animated cinema film “Benjamin– His most exciting adventures”.
In 2002 and 2005 this was followed by the co-production of two Bibi Blocksberg feature films with BAVARIA Munich. The first Bibi Blocksberg feature film attracted more than 2.2 million viewers and became the most popular German film of 2002. It earned the seal of approval “highly recommended”, won the Bavarian Film Awards, the Emil children’s film prize and the German Film Awards.
At the 22nd Chicago International Children’s Festival in 2005 “Bibi Blocksberg and the Secret of the Blue Owls” won first prize for best feature film.
